Misplaced Plans

This is Sarah’s 3rd album and the second one that I’ve worked with her on. I think it’s her most mature and refined songwriting to date and I was really excited to be able produce it.

We recorded it as restrictions were getting lifted during the pandemic. The songs are reflective but hopeful and we really experimented with new sounds and textures. Despite the experimentation, we really wanted to keep Sarah’s stunning voice front and centre of this album; playing to her strengths and only adding arrangements that we felt would serve the song best. Some songs are sparse and some are huge productions. We didn’t want to assume anything, but just follow the song.

The album also features some excellent guests such as The Found, Becky Higg and Eleonore Sian Cockerham.
