Rivers & Robots

Still was the first instrumental album by Rivers & Robots. Integrity approached the band about starting their new series of instrumental worship albums. At the later end of 2016, I was enlisted again to co-produce and mix the record. We ended up producing a truly creative reinterpretation of some of the most well-known and well-loved worship songs around.

Despite being on a big label, we wanted to keep the indie feel of the band; opting to record in various locations around the country - homes and churches as well as my own home studio. Drums were done at Salford Elim church, piano was recorded at a farmhouse in Colne, strings and brass were performed by the excellent Epiphany and were tracked at The Upper Room Christian Fellowship in Altrincham.

The final stage was a trip to the famous Abbey Road Studios for a mastering session.

The outcome was a beautiful, organic-sounding album with massive dynamics; quiet, tender, reflective moments sit alongside some of the most grandiose, epic moments we've achieved together.
